Meet Dr. David McDonald

Dr. David McDonald, DMD, Oral Surgeon

General and Cosmetic Dentistry of Tampa

After graduating from the University of Florida, Dr. McDonald went on to the University of Texas to become board-certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He was trained at renowned institutions such as Ben Taub Hospital, M.D. Anderson Cancer Institute, and Hermann Hospital to name a few. He has worked in Tampa for over 25 years and was on staff at Tampa’s best Hospitals: St. Joseph’s Hospital, Tampa General Hospital, Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, and the University Community Hospital. Over the years, he has lectured extensively to many area organizations to help educate the community on oral and maxillofacial surgery. In his spare time, Dr. McDonald volunteers his surgical services to local residents at no cost or reimbursement.

Dr. McDonald offers oral surgical services in Tampa. We provide onsite surgery with general anesthesia, IV sedation, nitrous oxide, and local anesthesia.

Outside the Office

Dr. McDonald has been married to his lovely wife Mary for over 20 years and they have one awesome son, Nicholas, who is currently attending college at FSU. (We know what you’re thinking; Gator vs. Nole football games must be a real hoot in their home!) Dr. McDonald loves fishing in the Gulf and scuba diving in the Keys, but when he isn’t in Tampa, he and Mary are exploring the mountains from the Carolinas to the waters of the Caribbean.
